Grangetown Boys Club FC
An evening trip to reside and Grangetown FC, the opposition was early season strugglers, Tow Law Town. The ground is in the middle of a large council estate somewhere in Middlesborough, plenty of parking along the road at the side of the ground. Into the ground and it's quite basic, part of the perimeter fence at the far side is missing which is unusual. It had excellent food and merchandise on offer, the pizza slices were that good I had two, pin badge was rather basic but good value at £1 each. Got upto teesside rather early on the way to this one, so stopped by Cherry Hill garden centre for lunch, well worth a visit, excellent place.
Onto the game and Tow Law took an unexpected lead through a first half penalty, Grangetown came good however and scored twice in 10 second half minutes to seal victory. A vital early season win with both teams looking to move up the table.
To get to the ground I'd recommend driving if possible, especially for a night game as buses will probably be few and far between back into Middlesborough.
