Sherburn White Rose FC
A cup game vs Otley Town Reserves, Sherburn is a great little village, a visit to Crusties the bakers before hand and The Fish Bank after the game meant I was well fed on this trip.
The game finished 7-4 to Sherburn, who were 5-0 to the good at half time. Included was probably the most blatant red card I have ever seen, Otley player semmingly pulled down, just stood up again and swung a kick at point blank range at the Sherburn player, 100% red card and the Sherburn manager did well to make sure things didn't escalate out of hand.
The ground is in a lovely countryside setting, up the hill on the edge of Sherburn, they've a great bar facility and there's plenty of space to stand on a nice day. Free entry as with all West Yorkshire league games I've been to. £3.70 for a pint of coke in the bar.
Good car park if driving to the game otherwise 164 bus from Leeds takes you into Sherburn or I believe from York there is a train to Sherburn.
